Do I need an account?
No account is required. Your diary is encrypted on this device behind your PIN. Export a backup before changing devices or clearing browser data.
Does KivU send my writing to a server?
Your journal is encrypted locally with a PIN-derived key. KivU does not send entries to a first-party server and does not use AI models. There is no account or cloud sync.
Is there a desktop app?
Not yet. The desktop edition is coming later. For now, use KivU in your browser and add it to your home screen or install it from your browser menu when supported.
What if I don't write for weeks?
Nothing happens. No streak breaks, no guilt, no message chasing you. Your page will be here when you want it.
